• Question: Hi! My name is Molly. When i am older i would like to be a forenzic scientist. I want to ask you why you wanted to do pathology. I wanted to be a forenzic scientist because it is exiting. Is it a hard job? What is it like?Is it scary sometimes and are people nice at work? Are you regularly called out late at night or at weekends? How long have you been in your job?Have you ever been in a hard position and you dont no what to do?I would like if you could give me some information about forenzics and patholigy. Thank you very much and hope you do well in your work Molly

Hey Molly..great to see you asking lots of questions..I can see little genius scientist developing in Molly…First I will start with me and Pathology…

From my school age I was interested in science and specifically like you I had so many questions in my mind that how our body works?..what medicine does in our body?…if we hurt on our knee; how the medicine reach from mouth to knee? etc..etc…that’s why I chosen my subject biology..and when i came to my master degree I specialised in physiology and endocrinology to learn more about insights of body and their functions…and believe me its not that hard as it looks…Pathology is so simple and interesting field…..You will get all different types of people(brains) working around with you but if you are doing your job you don’t have to worry from anyone..I always found people in pathology are more helpful…If there is any project needs work during weekends and if there is any emergency on the study we might need to come during weekend but in my 13 years career I haven’t worked during late night…when you start any job you will feel bit tough but it becomes always easy if you enjoy what you do…

Now we come to Forensic science…Forensic science has developed lot in past some years…It is challenging subject and it is associated with pathology…Mainly forensic science required in crime investigation..and as you already know with fast growing technology the criminals becoming high tech day by day..so we definitely require people like you study this kind of subject and do more….

Pathology and Forensic science both subjects are so much important and pay wise they are also more competetive compare to any field….so, If you are interested go ahead with it….

Pls. let me know if you need any further detailed help and advice in these subjects..email: hitesh.n.dave@gsk.com

Thank you very much for great question…!!all the best:-)
