• Question: Is there a disease which can kill you and would there be a cure for that and which can make you still living for a long period of time?

      I think as per current situation any type of cancer at advanced stage can become dangerous to health…There are lots of therapies and treatment available for cancer but its always good to diagnosed it as early as possible…Primary stage cancer can be cured early with treatment like chemotherapy…

      A lot of deadly genetic diseases are anticipated to have cures found for them within our lifetime, for example cystic fibrosis, which would normally result in the death of the sufferer at around 30yrs old.

      Gene therapies are currently in development which would either ‘fix’ the faulty protein by manipulating the mutation in the patients DNA, or deliver a copy of the DNA code for a ‘normal’ protein, which would then be integrated by the patients body and stop their symptoms.

      If these sorts of therapies could be given early enough, they could effectively ‘cure’ the disease, and extend the patients lifespan to that of a normal person.
