I always liked animals, and at first I thought I wanted to be a vet. But I soon realised I was more interested in finding out how animals worked rather than treating them when they were sick. So I went to university to study animals (a subject called zoology) but while I was there I found out about Evolution – and I was hooked!

No. I originally wanted to be an architect. However, when I was doing my A Levels at St Austell College I had great teachers that inspired me to read Mathematics at University. I am glad I made that choice!

I’ve wanted to be so many things! I’m still not sure what I ultimately want to be! I wanted to be a doctor for a long time, but then realised I wanted to be involved with the laboratory testing, which doctors don’t get to do. I also don’t think I’d be very good in emotional situations with patients – I’d probably cry! Not professional 🙂
