No one can say for sure, but I like to think so.

The universe is completely MASSIVE, much bigger than you or I can imagine. Life is just a game of luck, if everything is exactly right to allow life to evolve – it will. However, so many things have to be absolutely perfect for that to happen, you have to be REALLY lucky to find the right conditions, like here on earth. But because the universe is so HUGE there are lots of chances for it to happen, so if it’s happened once, I think the chances are it could have happened somewhere else too.

It’s like if you played the lottery. You are very unlikely to win if you only buy one ticket, but if you buy millions of tickets you have a much better chance.

      Great question!
There has been an article in the media recently that suggests Jupiter’s moon, Europa, could be a potential candidate for aliens (a life form of some kind). This is because the scientists believe there is water beneath the surface which could contain life and the results were published in Nature under the title “Active formation of ‘chaos terrain’ over shallow subsurface water on Europa”.

I believe aliens like us do exist but having a belief is very different from a scientific fact. 🙂

Surely they must do? There are so many planets out there; each star in the sky is a solar system of its own, so it seems silly to think that we are the only life-supporting planet. The odds say that it is probable that out of all life in the universe, humans are probably only of middle intelligence, so just imagine what could be happening on other planets! Blows my mind…

There are many questions like this! If aliens actually landed we would know for sure, but until then we have to say we don’t really know. The universe is huge, but then again planets are very far apart and based on our knowledge it’s very, very hard to get from one planet to another. So there might be lots of alien civilisations, but they can’t make it over to see us. After all, we’ve been around for 100,000 years and we haven’t worked out a good way to get over to see them yet.

Arguments about how many extraterrestrials there are, and why they haven’t said hello, have come to be called the Fermi Paradox, after the famous physicist Enrico Fermi who liked to consider interesting questions like this. Frank Drake later tried to calculate how many little green men there are using his ‘Drake Equation’. Unfortunately, the ingredients that go into the Drake Equation are very fuzzy, so the answer to ‘how many aliens are there’ ranges from ‘zero’ to ‘billions’.

      Two things to think about:
      1) A recent bit of research has found that most stars have planets going round them
      2) Intelligent life might look very, very different to us, and we might not even recognise it if we saw it

One day we’ll know for sure!

There are lots of difference of opinions between scientists for this question. We have only seen them in movies but I am sure it does exist like us. I think we are aliens on earth…same like that previous research from scientists says they have found possibilities at different planets for the existence of life… I have only seen them in movie and some of them looks really cute…
