I think sciences which can be used in everyday life are very important, because they are the reason the world changes so fast around us. Human safety is obviously important. But I can’t say it is the MOST important. Every scientific discovery has a value.

You’d be amazed how many different areas of science have a link to humans and our environment. Although it’s obvious that medical science has a direct impact on the way humans are treated and tested for disease, the work of chemists and physicists nearly always has an indirect impact on humans too. For example, developing a new type of energy may result in a way of creating energy that is more environmentally friendly, and therefore is likely to result in less pollutants in the air, which makes the environment safer for humans. Making a car that runs on solar power rather than petrol has the same effect – less pollutants, so better for humans.

Human safety is always comes first in our work…We test new medicines on animals to check toxic effects and related safety; so we can cure the disease in human…We can’t test new medicines in humans straight away as its not safe…
