Most of my free time I spend with my son and my wife at home…watching TV, playing UNO cards, Carrom board etc…On Weekends I play voleyball and Cricket…No Science during free time…:-)
I love to run (I just finished the Edinburgh marathon a few weeks ago). I’m also addicted to bad tv shows such as 90210, one tree hill (what will I do now it’s finished?!) , and made in Chelsea.
I try and do some sport or play music. Science involves a lot of thinking and sitting down so sport is a good way to relax. In school I hated sport, but now I am beginning to see the benefits!
Hey! I write, go to festivals (did Sonisphere and Leeds last year), snowboard, surf and shop (naturally, I’m a girl :D). Oh, and most importantly, try to go on lots of holidays!
It puzzled me for a long time that loads of physicist friends of mine did things like rock climbing, hiking and skiing. After all, ‘nature’ and ‘physics’ don’t sound like they go together, right? But then I realised that a lot of physicists like doing things that rely on their own skills, rather than things like team sports. And then it all makes sense. And good living is about a healthy balance between different things anyway.
Me: family, dogs, shooting, climbing (when I can get to it!).
