      Hi lorena,
About the same amount as a trainee teacher. It depends on who is paying you. I receive funding from a research council called the EPSRC, but some people get paid by University or by private companies or cancer research UK.

Hey, scientists working for the NHS begin on a salary of around £25,000 a year whilst they are training. Each year you get a pay rise. Fully qualified senior scientists can earn up to £90,000 a year, so there is lots of room for career progression.

It’s not the best paid job in the world (considering how long we had to stay at school), but it’s ok. I get around £367 per week (after tax) – which may seem like a lot to you, but there are always bills to pay! The top professors get more like £1000 per week. And you can get paid more in places like America (but they work you really hard).

Science gives more pride in the field..it is not the best paying field but it is competetive…In my field after A levels..trainee person will start from £15.000 per year and great scientist can earn upto £150,000 per year…It varies lot from small companies to large comanies…and also based on your experience level…I earn sufficient to live relaxed life…
