      The simple answer is yes, cloning of animals is completely legal and is practised in the UK.

      There has been a big debate recently over whether we should be allowed to eat meat directly from cloned animals- at the moment there is no law to say that we have to be told when we are eating a clone. As far as I can see, this is still in debate. Cloning is a very ethically sensitive issue, although at the moment it seems to be quite poorly regulated with regard to animal cloning.

      Yes, It is legal to clone animals for good cause…but it should have good scientific reason and need to get approval from animal welfare and regulatory agency to modify or do any changes with animals…and believe me it is not that easy to convince them without good scientific reasons…
