• Question: @nicolaibberson how many types of cancer are there? can you name a few ? I know thoiroid cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer.

      there are tons of different cancers, and I wouldn’t know the names of them all. Cancers are generally named by the part of the body they affect or the type of tissue that becomes cancerous (e.g. carcinoma or leukaemia). There is a list kept at http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/alphalist Nearly every part of your body can be affected by cancer (hopefully not all at the same time!), although certain types are much more common than others. The three most common areas of the body to be affected by cancer are colon, breast and lung.
