Things which have mass (are made of something solid) are attracted each other. The bigger the object the stronger it’s pull. The earth is pretty big so it has a very strong force that is pulling you towards it’s centre. This is what causes gravity.

The reason there is less gravity on the moon, is because the moon is a lot smaller, and does not pull with as strong a force.

      What causes gravity? Mass

Why is there gravity, and how does it work? Nobody knows yet in detail.

Issac Newton found that every two objects that he looked at were attracted to each other and that this attraction depended on how heavy the objects were.

The earth is massive right? So if you think of yourself and how heavy you are compared to the earth, then with this rule you should be pretty well attracted to the earth. This is gravity and it is the mass that causes it.

Solid objects or Mass causes gravity and its always depends on size of the object..
