But in all seriousness, no science could exist without the other. Physics describes how the molecules and forces on our planet work, chemistry describes how these molecules react with each other to produce different materials and chemicals, and biology describes how these chemical reactions work in cycles to allow the existence of life. So you see, we all just want to know how stuff works.
I’m a particle physicist, so obviously I’m going to say: zoology!
Ernest Rutherford once said there was physics, and everything else was stamp-collecting. But he was wrong about that. Each science has a particular role to play in increasing our understanding of the world, and in making it a better place.
Whichever one interests you the most 🙂 Genetics has been considered to be ‘at the forefront of science’ in recent years, because the principles run through so many other scientific disciplines, and genetic techniques are widely used in many kinds of research. There have been major advancements in our knowledge of genetics over the last 50yrs, and the technology to look at DNA is still rapidly expanding, so it’s a dynamic and exciting science to be involved in.
