I used to love watching David Attenborough animal documentaries, so I decided to do a degree at university on animals (Zoology), and while at university I found out about Evolution, and it fascinated me so much I never stopped wanting to learn about it.

So I guess in a way, David Attenborough is why I decided to become a scientist!

Because I didn’t understand science and I wanted to learn more about it.

I decided to become a scientist because I wanted to help people, but didn’t want to deal with them face-to-face every day! I wanted to give people choices about their future and feel like my work made a difference, even if it was just to one person. I chose genetics because I loved looking at how things were inherited, and I wanted to know more about how that worked.
